GIRO Cielo MIPS Mat
Road and gravel enthusiasts deserve pro-level equipment. The Cielo delivers the style, features and comfort that sets Giro apart from the pack of pursuers. Inspired by the Aries and with references to iconic models such as the Aeon, Cielo's compact design maximises ventilation with 22 openings connected to deep internal channels. Evolve Core's integrated MIPS protection works with our best-of-breed Roc Loc 5 Air clamping system. If you're looking for performance, protection and style that stands out, go with Cielo.
mIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) provides increased protection against rotational forces on the head. More at www.MIPSprilby.cz.

mIPS IS MOVEMENT
aDVANCES IN CYCLING HELMET DEVELOPMENT
all Giro helmets are designed to absorb as much energy as possible on impact and meet the current European standard: EN 1078. The new MIPS technology aims to eliminate the rotational forces that act on the head in the event of a fall. When impacted at any angle, the MIPS system allows the EPS shell of the helmet to rotate independently around the rider's head. Although this movement is only on the order of a few millimeters, we believe that MIPS technology significantly reduces the amount of rotational force that might otherwise be transmitted to the brain.
wHAT IS MIPS (Multidirectional Impact Protection System) and how does it work?
mIPS is a slippery liner between the EPS shell (helmet body) and the inner liners. In the event of an angled impact (for example, if you catch your head on a branch), the helmet's EPS shell will roll a few millimeters over the MIPS layer, protecting your head and brain from the violent rotational jerk.
