vIVID is a patented technology developed by Giro in collaboration with ZEISS Optics. VIVID significantly improves the visual experience of moving in the snow by improving contrast and sharpness - you'll see accurately without over-saturating the colours. VIVID reduces eyestrain, improves reaction time, boosts self-confidence.

hOW DOES VIVID WORK?
vIVID technology was developed by Giro in collaboration with ZEISS Optics, a global leader in optics. Standard ski goggles completely block the so-called blue light. It has long been believed that blue light equals bad light for seeing in the snow. But there is one problem: the snow is not white. As the most reflective surface on the planet, snow is actually blue. Our research has shown that blue light is important for seeing and reading snow-covered terrain correctly. VIVID technology transmits a portion of blue light to increase contrast while blocking dangerous UV rays. VIVID essentially filters out the "glare haze" and your eyes see exactly the plastic terrain in front of you: bumps, bulges, ice patches, packed or deep snow.
