GIRO Fixture II MIPS W Mat
How do you upgrade the world's best-selling women's helmet? You give it a more modern shape, the latest technology, fine-tune the details, design some irresistible colour combinations and most importantly - you breathe biker soul into it! The Fixture II W women's helmet is especially at home in the backcountry - the shape is tuned down from our much more expensive trail helmets. Dirt roads, forest tracks or narrow trails in the pine forest - if you're most comfortable when dirt crunches, pine needles rustle and pine cones fly under your wheels, the Fixture II W is the helmet for you. Its extended profile at the back provides increased protection for the back of the neck. It is well ventilated with 16 holes and fits perfectly on the head. The Roc Loc Sport clamping system can be easily tightened with one hand using the wheel and is compatible with braided hair.

aDVANCES IN CYCLING HELMET DEVELOPMENT
all Giro helmets are designed to absorb as much energy as possible on impact and meet the current European standard: EN 1078. The new MIPS technology aims to eliminate the rotational forces that act on the head in the event of a fall. When impacted at any angle, the MIPS system allows the EPS shell of the helmet to rotate independently around the rider's head. Although this movement is only on the order of a few millimeters, we believe that MIPS technology significantly reduces the amount of rotational force that might otherwise be transmitted to the brain.
wHAT IS MIPS (Multidirectional Impact Protection System) and how does it work?
mIPS is a slippery liner between the EPS shell (helmet body) and the inner liners. In the event of an angled impact (for example, if you catch your head on a branch), the helmet's EPS shell will roll a few millimeters over the MIPS layer, protecting your head and brain from the violent rotational jerk.
