The ballistic nylon upper reduces the risk of mechanical damage to the shoe and injury to the foot to zero. The POWERFLOW LITE lightweight foam midsole offers a greater degree of cushioning in the heel and is stiffer in the forefoot for better rebound management. Compared to the SPEED variant, the MUDTALON's cushioning layer together with the drop is higher to make it comfortable for longer distances or for heavier runners. Drop here is 6 millimetres.

The midsole is complemented by a flexible META PLATE reinforcement to protect against sharp stones. All this without losing the flexibility of the shoe.

STICKY GRIP has improved traction especially on wet stones. The outsole compound is similar to that used in climbing shoes and literally sticks to all types of ground.
