The ROCLITE PRO G 400 is not just a high-top running shoe. In developing this model, we took care to ensure that every element works perfectly for specific outdoor use without compromising the DNA of the INOV-8, which is deeply rooted in a superior feel for the terrain, great flexibility and preserving the natural functioning of the foot.

The new second generation of this popular trekking shoe has a completely redesigned upper. It remains just as roomy and comfortable, but now it's made of extremely durable ripstop fabric that can withstand the toughest terrain and doesn't absorb water, so the boots won't get heavy when moving in the wet. The shape of the heel has also been changed for more reliable anchoring of the foot.

The outsole is made up of a new generation ROCLITE pattern that is applied to a thinner base layer than ever before. This results in the superior grip that you may be accustomed to from the ROCLITE family for a long time, while achieving a significantly lower weight.

The midsole has a drop of 8 millimeters and is based on the proven 12/20 mm geometry. But that's where all similarities with previous ROCLITE models end. A major innovation is the use of META-PLATE PRO carbon reinforcement, which transitions from forefoot and midfoot protection to an external heel cup. This unique design effectively connects the entire shoe from toe to heel for superior proprioception, stability and foot cochrane. The POWERFLOW MAX energy foam takes care of damping.

The upper is stretched over a 4″ wide hoof (standard fit), so your transverse arches will have plenty of room to work naturally even on a day hike. The high upper with a hiking harness can be easily removed so that ankle sprains become a dim memory and you can tackle even the most technical terrain with confidence. The combination of GTX membrane and ripstop fabric

provides durability, thermal comfort and protection of the foot. As a result, we get a shoe that is much closer to socks than to running shoes in its construction and functional properties, but in comparison to socks it offers significantly lower weight and, above all, incomparably better feel for the terrain and natural behavior when walking and running.

The ROCLITE PRO G 400 GTX's main domain is short and longer hikes where walking takes precedence over running, but even the occasional jog is no problem thanks to its balanced ratio of flexibility and stability.
