As is usual with the Wolf Tooth brand, this is not an Asian production, but a complex, well thought-out component. Everything is designed, engineered and manufactured in Minnesota, USA. The pedal body is CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminium alloy and fitted with 17-4 PH stainless steel axles. A welcome option is the offer of two different sizes, which should satisfy both the rider with a smaller foot and the skier who uses children's skis instead of boots! In fact, it is a Small size with a pedal area of 105 x 99 mm and a weight of 373 g/pair. The larger Large version offers a surface area of 112 x 106 mm and a weight of 384 g/pair. The contact surface of the pedal is not purely flat, but uses a dual concave profile for proper foot seating, i.e. with a space-thinning profile from the outer edges towards the centre. The pedal force at the narrowest centre point is only 12.5 mm, at the edges it is 14 mm.a set of 11 stainless steel pins on each side of the pedal provide a secure connection between the pedal and the sole. They are screwed from opposite sides, so there is no problem with changing them. The package also includes 6 spare pins, for Uncle Story.the pedals are equipped with a trio of high-quality, fully encapsulated bearings, which are additionally protected on the outside by a specifically designed radial seal. Everything is again fully and easily serviceable, a basic set of Allen screws is sufficient for disassembly. Do you see what makes them different from the others and from the Asian production?
