The upper is made of lightweight, strong and non-absorbent synthetic nylon with a ripstop finish. The entire circumference of the shoe is reinforced with a thermoplastic cast that helps stabilize the gaiters in the shoe bed. The inner arch is reinforced with a rubber part (ProtectOR) to protect this sensitive part of the foot from being hit by branches or stones. This reinforcement is brought up to the lacing and at the same time helps to fix the feet securely and effectively in the shoe. The tight lacing is supported by an ergonomically shaped tongue that does not cut into the hamstrings and significantly increases comfort in the shoe. The sole has fine 4.5 mm high spikes, it is overlapped on the upper and fixed with 4 seams. The sole compound is the well-known butyl rubber with excellent durability and great contact properties.
